How long should my flowers last?
Ellis Flowers specializes in using only fresh cut flowers and foliage from trusted suppliers. Using only top quality flowers and greens ensures that all arrangements and bouquets created have a minimum "vase-life" on average of 4-10 days when handled and cared for appropriately.
How far in advance do I need to book a florist?
We suggest you book your florist 4 to 6 months before your event to ensure that your date is available and that we can have adequate time to source for the material.
Will my flowers look exactly like the picture I have chosen?
The photographs are provided to give a general guide for colours, styles, designs and occasions. We always strive to create designs as close as possible to what you’ve selected, but on occasions blooms may vary according to seasonal availability or when they do not meet our quality standards. Substitutions of flowers at equivalent or greater value may be necessary to fill your order. Part of the beauty and wonder of flowers is their seasonal attributes which is no different than any other organic matter found in nature.
What should I bring to the flower shop when I have my consultation?
You should have a few pictures of arrangements/bouquets that you like, photographs of your ceremony and reception venue(s), a swatch of fabric from your bridesmaid’s dress, any ideas that you may have for the ambiance and mood that you would like to create for your day and an open-mind.
